An adaptive algorithm for sampling over diffusion networks with dynamic parameter tuning and change detection mechanisms

Abstract: Highlights•An algorithm for the adaptive sampling of diffusion networks is proposed.•The solution estimates the noise power and modifies its own parameters accordingly.•The solution has a change-detection device that improves its tracking capability.•Theoretical results are derived for the proposed algorithm.•Simulations show the good performance of the proposed solution in many scenarios.
