No-reference stereoscopic image quality evaluator based on human visual characteristics and relative gradient orientation

Abstract: Highlights•We build a new no-reference SIQA model.•The relative direction feature can effectively capture the unnatural distribution of the local direction caused by the image structure degradation.•We use the TLBP to effectively describe the changes of texture information caused by different types and degrees of distortion.•For monocular features, the color moment feature is used in the model, which has a significant impact on the quality perception.•For binocular features, we not only extract binocular features, but also extract the binocularity feature which can well describe binocular dominance characteristics.
