NLP-guided Video Thin-slicing for Automated Scoring of Non-Cognitive, Behavioral Performance Tasks

Abstract: We propose a novel and practical approach to model non-cognitive, behavioral performance tasks, by using natural language processing (NLP) to guide the selection of “thin-slices” that are representative of holistic video performances and demonstrate its promise.
