Abstract: Highlights•High-performance, robust high-throughput plant phenotyping on rice at nighttime environment.•A customized nighttime working mode built upon a commercial high-throughput plant phenotyping platform TraitDiscover.•A high-quality nighttime rice detection and segmentation dataset is constructed and finely annotated.•28 phenotypic parameters with respect to color, morphology, and texture are extracted and validated.
