A high-order fully Lagrangian particle level-set method for dynamic surfaces

Abstract: Highlights•We accurately approximate closest points on surfaces from point-cloud data.•This enables level-set redistancing in Lagrangian particle methods.•We use polynomial regression in Newton-Lagrange basis on a set of unisolvent nodes.•We show results for basic geometries, spiraling vortex, and multi-phase hydrodynamics.•We compare with a Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics colorfield approach.
