Abstract: Highlights•A framework is presented for automatically generating fruit tree pruning suggestions.•A scoring function is implemented for judging the structural quality of a tree.•We implement a script for simulating the effect of pruning particular points.•Pruning points are suggested to improve the score of a tree dynamically.•Results suggest this framework may improve light distribution over current methods.
