Abstract: Communities of Practice services enable users that share same interests and exchange knowledge in an ongoing learning process. The Stack Overflow platform supports such communities where the majority of the content are produced by a small number of highly active users. We propose an agent-based model of a Community of Practice exhibiting a social dynamics which is compliant with this insight.
