Anatomy preserving GAN for realistic simulation of intraoperative liver ultrasound images

Abstract: Highlights•A novel anatomy-preserved GAN (ApGAN) is developed for generating the simulated intraoperative ultrasound of liver without any preprocessing steps.•The simulated intraoperative ultrasound has high-level precision of anatomical structures and focal areas.•Empirical results of clinical data showed that the proposed method obtained higher accuracy compared to existing methods.
