Proposal and Implementation of Activity Status Acquisition System for Automatic Guided Vehicles and Compare with Simulation Results
Abstract: Industry 4.0 is expanding in manufacturing. With digital technology, manufacturing lines are expected to become more efficient. This research aims to collect the activity status of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) on the production line and compare it with simulation results by FlexSim. We analyzed the activity status of the AGVs by attaching beacons to the AGV and the parts carrier vehicles AGV carry and collecting their positions of them. As a result, we confirmed that the activity status is similar to the simulation results and demonstrated that our proposal benefits AGVs tracking.
