Abstract: Highlights•We developed an automatic sneeze detector using acoustic features and an SVM.•Sneezes were measured around the clock in individuals suffering from swine flu.•The automatic sneeze detector performed well, and no over-fitting was observed.•The durations of sneezes increased corresponding to each stimuli for each virus.•We detected infection of two strains three days after the infection based on sneezes.
