Abstract: The round pipe belt conveyor has the benefit of closed transportation, a current development trend. However, there are some drawbacks as compared to the standard belt conveyor, such as the belt warping issue brought on by the transverse stiffness of the conveyor belt. In this study, a simulation model of the conveyor belt is created based on the six-point stiffness test, and the simulation model is then used to conduct a qualitative analysis of the belt warpage. The findings indicate that the conveyor belt’s warpage increases as roller spacing decreases nonlinearly with tension, and increases nonlinearly with the transverse stiffness of the belt.
