Keynote: Autonomous Surgery from a Surgeon's Perspective

Abstract: In addition to continuously rising costs, the healthcare system is currently characterised by an increasing shortage of staff. It is currently estimated that by the year 2023 there will be a shortage of 500,000 nurses and 6,000 doctors in Germany alone. Consequences of this are delays in medical treatment, lack of operation in individual departments resulting in medical undersupply and overworked staff.
