Abstract: Highlights•We study the large-scale and time-consuming satellite–ground link scheduling problem.•We propose a knowledge-assisted adaptive large neighbourhood search algorithm to solve the problem.•We build an integer programming model to describe the problem straightforwardly which is embedded in the proposed algorithm.•The algorithm is tested with different scale scenarios.
