Logarithmic total variation regularization via preconditioned conjugate gradient method for sparse reconstruction of bioluminescence tomography
Abstract: Highlights•A novel PCG-logTV method is proposed for sparse reconstruction of BLT, which combines TV regularization and logarithm function.•The method reduces the ill-posedness of BLT reconstruction and avoids the staircase artifacts of TV solutions.•The method is validated by numerical simulations and in vivo experiment, and shows superior performance over other methods.•The method enhances the quality and accuracy of BLT reconstruction and facilitates various preclinical applications of BLT.
