An Incremental Approach for Specification, Quality Assessment and Maintenance of Enterprise Knowledge Graph

Abstract:

An Enterprise Knowledge Graph is designed to integrate data from multiple sources and domains to provide a holistic view of an organization's knowledge. Integrating data from various sources can be a complex task as data is often stored in different formats, structures, and systems.
Assessing the quality of an EKG involves evaluating several factors, including data completeness, data accuracy, data consistency, data relevance, and EKG usability.
As data and knowledge change over time, the EKG needs to be updated and maintained to remain relevant and useful.
Motivated by our experience in building the EKG of Maranhão state Treasury Office (EKG_SEFAZ/MA), in this paper we present an Incremental framework for specification, quality assessment and maintenance of EKG.
By using an incremental framework, it is possible to gradually build and improve the EKG while also ensuring that it remains up-to-date and accurate.
With our approach, we also construct a metadata graph for the EKG_SEFAZ/MA that is particularly helpful in facilitating the management and evolution of the EKG.
