Full cardiac cycle asynchronous temporal compounding of 3D echocardiography images

Abstract: Highlights•We performed 3D asynchronous temporal compounding of echocardiography images via cardiac motion estimation. Images frames from the entire cardiac cycle is compounded, and the compounded image is reanimated via the estimated motion.•compounding enhances boundary and reduces noise, extends the field of view and recovers low signal regions, and reduces observer quantification variability.•An outlier rejection approach improved results.
