Thin foil transformation into liquid droplets due to the Rayleigh-Taylor instability in NDCX-1 experiments

Abstract: It is proposed that a likely scenario for droplet formation in the NDCX-I experiments is a result of the Rayleigh-Taylor instability for targets with a thickness larger than the range of ions in the film (∼100 nm for NDCX-I parameters).
