Abstract: Highlights•Parameter conditions on the existence of unique positive fixed point are given.•The critical value of bifurcation parameter when Neimark–Sacker bifurcation occurs is given.•The discriminant of the direction and the stability of Neimark–Sacker bifurcation are obtained.•The results are helpful for the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation control.
