Abstract: In this paper, the E-eigenvalue problem is investigated and using some structural properties, a simpler equivalent form of this problem is given. An algorithm according to this new form is presented for solving the E-eigenvalue problem and numerical results show that for a third-order tensor, this form can make the solving process using homotopy methods faster.
