Towards the Use of Hypermedia MAS and Microservices for Web Scale Agent-Based Simulation

Abstract: This paper presents a vision for a new breed of Agent-Based Simulations that are based on the principles of the current generation web technologies. We propose a novel approach to implementing complex agent-based simulations built from loosely-coupled reusable components in a manner that ensures scalability. This vision is inspired by the emergence of the recently proposed hypermedia multi-agent systems concept, which combines hypermedia systems, semantic web and affordances.
