Abstract: The master research presented in this paper focuses on developing automatic tools for better understanding and evaluating dog behavior. To this end I propose a method for automatic analysis of dog behavior given a simple video footage taken of a dog in a room, either alone or interacting with humans or objects. This method takes a dog-centric approach in the sense of allowing free and natural movement of the dog, avoiding the aid of animal-borne sensors or markers.
