Content-Based Video Browsing with Collaborating Mobile Clients

Abstract: A system comprised of collaborating mobile clients and a server is introduced in order to solve known item search tasks. The clients query the server for small video sequences according to some search criteria and are kept informed about the actions of collaborating participants (viewed frames, queries submitted, bookmarks set). The results are browsed and refined through a GUI that takes advantage of modern tablets’ capabilities.
