Local discontinuous Galerkin method for a singularly perturbed fourth-order problem of reaction-diffusion type
Abstract: Highlights•The LDG method is used to solve a fourth-order singularly perturbed problem of reaction-diffusion type.•We establish a uniformly optimal convergence for the LDG method on a Shishkin mesh.•An inherent relationship between different numerical solutions in the DG space is explored.
