Abstract: In this paper, the accuracy performance of the SBI (SODA-Based Inference) direction-finding algorithm, which has a fast and high accuracy capability for electronic support systems, was analysed. The SBI algorithm aims to estimate the angle of arrival of the threat radar signal without producing ambiguity using three or more collinear antennas. The main principle of the SBI algorithm is composed of the interferometry and SODA method. Interferometry estimates the angle of arrival of the threat radar signal by using the phase difference between the two antennas. However, in interferometry, when the physical distance between two antennas is more than half of the wavelength of the threat radar signal, there is ambiguity in the angle estimation. Therefore, the SODA method proposes adding a third antenna to the system to make an unambiguous angle of arrival estimation. Moreover, the SBI algorithm aims to significantly improve the accuracy of the SODA method by using all antennas in the system.
