Abstract: Highlights•We propose 3D point cloud neural network (SurfPro-NN) for protein–protein docking complex scoring task.•Experimentally verified the feasibility of dMaSIF and ProteinBERT in the task.•SurfPro-NN achieves best performance on CAPRI and DockGround test dataset.•SurfPro-NN has high accuracy and recognition speed compared to other neural networks.
