Abstract: Highlights•We found the local high correlation mapping relationship between hazeclear image pairs.•A lightweight and fast network is proposed for real-time image dehazing.•A novel multi-scale feature extraction subnetwork is embedded into the dehazing model.•Our method surpasses previous state-of-the-art lightweight dehazing methods.•The size of our proposed network model is only 53.70 KB.•The average runtime for a 620 ×<math><mo is="true">×</mo></math> 460 image on the CPU is as low as 0.12 seconds.
