Abstract: Highlights•Dragonfly topologies are popular due to its low diameter and performance/cost ratio.•We provide a comparison of InfiniBand routing engines for Dragonfly networks.•We propose a minimal-path routing implementation for InfiniBand-based Dragonflies.•We evaluate our implementation proposal by simulation and real-system experiments.•We analyze the impact of switch features and constraints in the routing performance.
