Abstract: The aim of this project is to develop a social networking architecture for mobile phones which would use the not-yet-fully-explored area of completely decentralized P2P overlays as opposed to the traditional Client-Server models which are prevalent in today’s social networks. To achieve this target we have extensively studied a myriad number of existing P2P systems, concepts like Delay Tolerant Networking, Interplanetary Networking, Mobile adhoc Networking and JXTA. This report presents all of our work done during last one year period.
