Abstract: Highlights•To address the complex denoising problem, the BFCNN network based on a novel blurring-adjusting strategy is proposed.•A bidirectional process is constructed to obtain better denoising performance.•The algorithm can achieve better performance on multiple image denoising situations.•Three modules are designed to achieve better performance in a deeper network.•A feature attention mechanism is applied to boost the performance of the network.
