A new look at interpretability and saturation

Abstract: We investigate the interpretability ordering ⁎⊴⁎<math><msup is="true"><mrow is="true"><mo is="true">⊴</mo></mrow><mrow is="true"><mo is="true">⁎</mo></mrow></msup></math> using generalized Ehrenfeucht–Mostowski models. This gives a new approach to proving inequalities and investigating the structure of types.
