Abstract: Highlights•Speech-based classification of severity of Parkinson’s disease was studied.•5 speaking tasks, 4 feature sets, and 4 classifiers were compared.•Monologue task & articulation/<math><mo is="true">/</mo></math>fusion features improved classification accuracy.•Classifier had a minor effect on classification accuracy.•Classification differences between MDS-UPDRS-III and MDS-UPDRS-S were small.
