A Knowledge-based Decision Support System for recommending safe recipes to individuals with dysphagia
Abstract: Highlights•Dysphagia impacts patients' quality of life and may result in malnutrition.•We propose a DSS to suggest consistency and dysphagia-severity safe recipes.•Developed with ENT clinicians, the DSS exploits ontologies to represent data.•The DSS is useable via two applications – for patients and clinical personnel.•A preliminary validation with clinical specialists show promising results.
